Tseng Kung-Liang, an official of the Chinese goverment, penned a comprehensive account of gunpowder's application to weapons in 1045 (Song Dynasty, 960-1279)
It was called "Wu-ching Tsung-yao" (Complete Compendium of Military Classics), and it detailed the use of ballistic fire arrows.

The first writings on this in the west is found in the military writings of al-Hasan al-Rammah (1285), when Arabs began using gunpowder propelled fire arrows in combat.

The Iranian Embassy Siege of 1980 was a siege of the Iranian embassy in London after it had been taken over by Iranian Arab separatists. The siege was ended when British special forces, the Special Air Service (SAS), stormed the building in Operation Nimrod. The Tupolev Tu-160 (NATO reporting name Blackjack) is a supersonic, variable-geometry heavy bomber designed by the Soviet Union. Similar to the B-1 Lancer but with far greater speed, range and payload, it is the heaviest combat aircraft ever built.

Introduced in 1987, it was the last Soviet strategic bomber designed, but production of the aircraft still continues, with at least 16 currently in service with the Russian Air Force.

Its pilots call the Tu-160 the “White Swan”, due to the surprising maneuverability and antiflash white finish of the aircraft.

Naval military aircraft produced by Russian firm Sukhoi in 1982 for aircraft carriers. It is a derivative of the Su-27 'Flanker' and was initially known as the Su-27K. The main difference from the Su-27 is that Su-33s can operate from aircraft carriers. Unlike the Su-27, the Su-33 are capable of aerial refueling.(youtube)
