I don't see a way around it. Our political system is so much more complex now than it was for the founding fathers that it becomes impossible with more than two choices. We can barely choose 1 out of 2. There really is no other system that will "work" better than this.
@BRM: Obama seems to be trying hard to not use muck in his campaign. Trying to say McCain is worthless in DC would just create more argument and confusion for voters. He's doing a good job of picking battles that can be more clearly shown to the people. For instance, it's pretty well documented that McCain said, "Bomb, Bomb, Bomb, Bomb Iran." So he can't argue much when you call him a warhawk. Also, the current game in politics is always to blame the enemy. Dem's blame GOP and vise versa when something goes wrong. If Obama is really trying to create change, he's gotta change that.

Get off you're fucking high horse. There's always one douche that's gotta stand up and feel self-righteous and defend, for whatever reason, some person they don't even know for being a dumbass. It's more annoying than the blatent racism in youtube comments. Like it or not, stereotypes are true for a reason. Nobody wants to get pegged to a stereotype because it strips them of their "individuality". But when you look at the numbers, with an accent like that, she is most likely Christian. The fact that you AUTOMATICALLY thought that I was referring to her lack of intelligence (which I was) makes you just as guilty as I.
Just because I don't want to tolerate that kind of remark doesn't mean I'm on a "high horse". I don't make these kinds of remarks to defend anyone or build up myself, but instead in hopes that we don't make these kind of remarks in the future. I don't particularly think Christians are stereotyped as stupid, except when I listen to atheists discuss the subject. On that point, stereotypes are often NOT true. As far as my impression of your comment, I think it's pretty clear what you had in mind. Just because I can follow someone else's line of thinking doesn't mean I share it.

It's ignorant comments like this that make VS hard to stomach at times. I get that you think Christians are stupid people, but there's no evidence that she is of any particular faith. Many people here criticize those who choose a life of faith because they are willing to accept things that aren't based on evidence. If I follow the reasoning correctly, since these people make assumption that aren't based on science they must be morons. Yet here you are making guesses of your own that are just mean and close-minded.
